When we last left off the Dashon Goldson trail, the former 49ers Pro Bowl safety was days away from taking on the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII and a few weeks removed from buying a luxury condo in Marina del Rey, Calif. Goldson has since departed San Francisco for Tampa Bay -- the Hawk signed a five-year, $41.25 million contract with the Buccaneers this off-season -- but that has not stopped the defensive back from continuing to invest in California real estate.

It seems Goldson has targeted Marina del Rey as a prime area for investment. Since shelling out $550,000 on a top-shelf condo at the Regatta Seaside a year ago, the free safety has gone on a spending spree in the coastal community.

Records show that Goldson closed on a south-facing unit in the Azzurra for $635,000 in March. The two bedroom residence boasts a wrap-around balcony and a host of luxury features. In addition, guests of the full-service high-rise receive access to a rooftop sky-lounge, a pair of spas, a pool, a fine art collection and a professional fitness center with a yoga studio.

After buying in the Azzurra, the defensive standout was at it again in May, this time buying a smaller, 1,142-square-foot unit at the Cove for $591,000. Like the Regatta Seaside and the Azzurra, residents of the Cove are treated to a host of complimentary guest features, including access to a gym, a pool and an outdoor barbecue lounge with a bar.

Goldson's most recent purchase came just last month, when he dropped $415,000 on another residence at the Azzurra. The smallest of the safety's four Marina del Rey properties, the 860-square-foot one-bedroom offers vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, a gourmet kitchen and a pair of parking spots.

In addition to his quartet of luxury condos, the Harbor City, Calif., native also owns a single-family home in Encinco, CA. In early 2012, Goldson spent $1.24 million on a five-bedroom, four-bathroom property in the Los Angeles County community. In addition to offering some 4,000-plus square feet, Goldson's Encino home boasts a grand foyer with Versace-patterned travertine flooring, an antique wrought-iron staircase and a master suite with a pair of walk-in closets and a spa-like bath.

After six stellar seasons in San Francisco, Goldson is expected to anchor Greg Schiano's up-and-coming defensive unit in Tampa. He joins a revamped secondary that includes perennial Pro Bowl corner Darrelle Revis, who was acquired in a trade with the New York Jets, second-year pro Mark Barron and 2013 second-round pick Johnthan Banks.
