David Cassidy Lowers Price on Fort Lauderdale Listing

Come on get happy? It's not a song David Cassidy is singing these days, at least when it comes to his Florida real estate woes. Just 18 months after the former "Partridge Family" singer was forced to turn over his $1.35 million Los Olas area condo instead of losing the unit to foreclosure, the 60-something entertainer is now looking to get out from under his waterfront home at 1600 S. Ocean Drive, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. 33316.
First listed for sale for $4.495 million in August, Cassidy (pictured at right) has relisted the property for $3.9 million. The 7,000-square-foot home is in a gated compound and offers privacy and all the amenities of a resort. There are five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a chef's kitchen, hardwood floors and a private balcony. Beach and marina rights are available. The home can be bought with all its furnishings.
The Harbor Beach residence was remodeled in 2006, and subsequently rented out until Cassidy was forced to take legal action against his tenants for what he claimed was non-payment of rent.
